The Dorothy Chandler Collection - Consisting of photographs, business papers, invitations to key historical events, books, press clippings, awards given to Mrs. Chandler, fine art and even the Yves St.Laurent gown and coat that she wore to the Grand Opening of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, December 6, 1964.

Marian Burke Collection - Donated by founder Dorothy Chandler's former executive assistant, Marian Burke, this collection includes documents such as invitations to key events, press clippings, books, and photographs of the Chandler family and valuable correspondence on the planning of special events and an oral history of her years at Mrs. Chandler's side.

The Hollywood Bowl Collection - Documenting the history and activities of the Bowl. A complete collection of information concerns the summer season of the L.A.Philharmonic orchestra and other groups performing at the Bowl.

The Symphonians Collection - Notebooks kept by the presidents of this Music Center service organization donated every year detailing the Center's activities and those of the Symphonians from 1963 to the present.

 Dance Collection
Dance Presentations Collection - Documenting Dance at the Music Center. Correspondence, audio interviews with important members of different dance companies, programs, reviews, photos and flyers.

The George Zoritch Collection - Private papers and correspondence of the famous dancer as well as photographs and programs of some of his performances.

 Design Collection
The Music Center Poster Collection - Posters for all Music Center attractions throughout its history.

The Music Center Theatre Book Collection - A collection of over 450 books on theatre ranging from plays, art, biographies, music and history of the theatre.

 Opera Collection
The Olga Rosenthal Collection - Documents donated by the former secretary of the impresario Lynden Ellsworth Behymer consisting of photographs, correspondence, reviews and articles about L.E. Behymer.

 Theatre Collection
The collection documents the theatre scene in Los Angeles from 1932 to 1978. The jewel in the crown is the Otto Rothschild Collection, with over 68,000 negatives. The Collection photos are used for books, documentaries, C.D covers, newspaper and magazines articles, and for general publicity purposes, as well as art exhibits. The Music Center owns world rights to this collection and the fees charged worldwide are used to offset expenses at the Archives.

The Raymond F. Barnes Collection - Consists of Playbills, photographs, books about the theatre and a card index to theatre performances in Los Angeles up to 1940 with entries for plays, players, designers and directors.

The Kenn Randall Collection - Includes prompt books, photographs, scrapbooks of press clippings and various other items documenting late 19th century to early 20th century theatre.

The Charles Coburn Collection - Director's notebooks, posters review, articles and photographs on the theatrical career of actor Charles Coburn.

Norman McDonald Collection - Includes programs, photographs, prompt books, press clippings from early 20th century Los Angeles theatre productions.

The Pilgrimage Play Collection - Consists of scripts, photographs, reviews and programs of the famous passion play that was presented in Los Angeles on a yearly basis at the now John Anson Ford Amphitheatre.
